Elite Typeface (12 cpi)

Black Gloss

*I put a tremendous amount of focus & care into my restorations, but this one got a bit more attention as it was part of my personal collection. However, I have committed to a large lot purchase and am culling such special machines accordingly. -KJ/NT

The Corona Four…

I’m not going to sugarcoat it, these machines are mostly overrated in my opinion.(and many other Typewriter mechanics) They can be fussy, and often have been used so hard they just struggle to produce.

This machine however, is one of the exceptions.

I bought this pretty old machine about 5 years ago from an eccentric antique dealer within walking distance of my now storefront. The case was in rough shape, and the machine had some issues, but I bought it and restored it from the ground up.

I used it personally as a travel machine, and while I acquired other Corona Fours over the years, none of them matched the quality and feel of this old gal.

Snappy, light, and deliberate feeling keystrokes, gorgeous gloss black paint, the solitary gold Corona decal, and distinctive, open body style make this machine an absolute UNIT. Cosmetically, it's a ridiculously handsome machine. Paint is in very good condition, very few signs of use. A handsome, quick little machine- light key-feel, decisive strikes, and overall just a joy to use!

The hard case is functional, well worn, and is missing the little knob that releases the latch, but still functions well and does a fine job protecting this old survivor. (A fingernail works just fine for releasing the latch)

This is NOT an "as-is" typewriter.

It has been lovingly cleaned, oiled, serviced, and thoroughly tested to ensure it'll hang with whatever you decide to write with it. It has a NOS platen from a lot purchase, rejuvenated feed rollers, and replacement feet.

It comes with everything you see in the pictures and more;

YOUR CHOICE of a brand spankin' new solid black, or bichrome (red/black) ribbon available in cotton or nylon on vintage Smith Corona specific metal spools(installed), a reprinted original owners manual, the typewriter, hard case, an OFFICIAL Nashville Typewriter sticker and hand-typed note from me, the typeface text sample, and even a few sheets of paper to get you started on the path to analog independence and distraction free writing!

Has been disassembled, cleaned, oiled lightly in the spots that are supposed to be, and serviced by someone that LOVES typewriters.
