Rockets are FANTASTIC little machines! Smart, minimalist design with a well-performing little machine under the hood. They aren't quite the full experience you have with a full sized portable or standard, but these well made little ultras are just about as fun as they come. The Rocket is virtually identical to the Hermes Baby, only having some minor cosmetic differences in models of the same era.
Quite simply- they type, and they do it anywhere. Meant for getting words on paper, no frills, no unnecessary extras. But what they do, they do very well.
Made by the esteemed Swiss company Hermes, this little machine is everything you could want in a compact, on the go Typewriter.
Mechanically, it types like very well- Smooth, snappy, and very light key travel for it being an ultra portable.
Cosmetically, it's a handsome little machine. Paint is in great condition and the keys are as well.
The elite typeface is classic, concise, and fits more in the page at 12 characters per inch
The travel of the keys is minimal and fairly easy, not typical on ultra portables as the linkages are shortened. It IS a monochrome typer, meaning it only types with a solid color ribbon, so if you’re wanting two color capabilities, this isn’t the one for you.
The case lid has more signs of use than the typer, but still works very well at protecting this great little machine!
This is NOT an "as-is" typewriter.
It has been lovingly cleaned, oiled, serviced, and thoroughly tested to ensure it'll hang with whatever you decide to write with it.

A brand spankin' new solid black ribbon available in cotton or nylon on vintage metal spools(installed), a reprinted original owners manual, the typewriter, it's case, an OFFICIAL Nashville Typewriter sticker and hand-typed note from me, the typeface text sample, and even a few sheets of paper to get you started on the path to analog independence and distraction free writing!
