Canterbury Pica Typeface (10 cpi)

This typewriter is H O T ! ! !

A classic from the days when American typewriters were on top of the world! Like most antiques that had a purpose, it shows some signs of use, but is a STUNNING example of Royals flagship portable Typewriter in vibrant, fire engine red!

These Royal Quiet De Luxe portables are EXTREMELY sought after due to being part of the "candy" finish line of QDLs. This one in particular is one of the most striking and sought after colors- Royal Red.

It’s in good condition, both mechanically and aesthetically. The paint is a wonderful, bright candy apple with a glossy finish that’s just stunning. There are signs of use, but overall very nice condition for one of these.

The typeface is a special one known as "Canterbury", and is characterized by the slanted serifs on the letters, the little pointed tail of the capital Q, and the position/shape of the capital J. It is a very cool "storytelling" sort of font, and perfect for creative writing! The case is in as close to immaculate condition as I’ve seen, has the original key, and makes a handsome companion to such a gorgeous machine. One of the COOLEST feature of this, is the asterisk- it’s an actual 5 pointed star!

The case is in good condition as well, it was gently handled for decades. Latches work well, as do the lock-ins for the machine.

This is NOT an "as-is" typewriter.

It has been lovingly cleaned, oiled, serviced, and thoroughly tested to ensure it'll hang with whatever you decide to write with it. This is classy machine, sure to turn heads and drive conversation.

It comes with everything you see in the pictures and more;

YOUR CHOICE of an all-black, or black and red ribbon on vintage Royal-specific metal spools(installed), a reprinted owners manual, the typewriter, its handsome hard case, an OFFICIAL Nashville Typewriter sticker and hand-typed note from me, the typeface text sample, and even a few sheets of paper to get you started on your path to analog independence and distraction-free writing!

Has been disassembled, cleaned, oiled lightly in the spots that are supposed to be, and serviced by someone that LOVES typewriters.

Free shipping in the continental US, estimates available upon request for global customers.
